The Orchids Series
(2020)
Orchid # 1
Orchid # 1
An orchid in a deep forest sends out its fragrance even if no one is around
to appreciate it.
― Confucius
"Orchid #1" has been conceived on an abstract base - of red and black colors -, which is complemented by the yellow color which falls down over it.
This first artwork is the only one that exhibits a single flower in the center of the painting, but that is cut across by the framework concept of the impermanence of the matter and its fusion with space; that matter that disappears into the air but leaves a part of it inside, which also shows something behind that flower; and this is a concept framework that appears through all this series ("The Orchids Collection").
