"Tribute" is an artwork that I executed to pay that: a tribute. 
A tribute to all the people around the world who mourned the physical departure of one of the best football players of all time; for many of those people, and quite justifiably, the greatest football player of all time. 
This artwork has been made on a young "Maradonian" face. A face full of hope, making his own face the element with which the world knew him, with the colors of Argentina, his country of origin.
In this face, however, you can not only see joy but a hint of sadness in his eyes, which are directed at those people who loved him and to whom he left so many joys. A look and a smile so human to show then: his humanity among all his football perfection.
A non-accidentally damaged ball that exhibits its interior protruding from the side of its face, appears as an expression of the losses suffered in his life. A ball that beyond the damage, like those eyes represented towards a focus in its gaze on the sadness that it left in the departure for those who loved him, does not stop displaying part of its beautiful youthful smile and the hope that let him transcend as a unique and loved man all over the world.
